As an independent celebrant, I can help you create a ceremony that is individually tailored to your specific needs, including any beliefs, faith, or cultural aspects that are important to you.

Funerals, memorials & living wakes
Let's honour and celebrate a life.
With life comes death and losing a loved one is never easy, the path of grief rarely smooth. Honouring and celebrating the life of the person who has passed can offer friends and family solace and comfort during this sad time.
I believe that a funeral or memorial service should be a reflection of the person who has passed, so I specialise in the personal touch to make this happen. I will work with you to create a ceremony that puts your loved one at its heart, to celebrate their life, and let family and friends say their good byes.
As an independent celebrant, I can tailor your ceremony to suit your specific needs, wants, beliefs, culture or faith or a blend of everything.
If you would like me to officiate a funeral or memorial service, I will meet with you to talk about your loved one, any wishes that they had, and what you would like to include in the service. I can guide and advise you as much as you like and can make suggestions on readings, writing a eulogy (if you would like to do it yourself), and how to personalise it. You will receive draft scripts to approve before the day of the funeral.

I can help you if you would like to write your own funeral whether you want to make it easier for your loved ones to deal with when the time comes or you have specific music, stories or points to be included. Please contact me if you would like this service and we can have an introductory meeting so I can provide you with more information.
Living wakes
A Living Wake is an opportunity for you to attend your own wake or funeral. For most people who want a Living Wake, this is because your time here is drawing to a close and you would like to have a final farewell with your family and friends. A Living Wake is can also be a metaphor to end a chapter in your life. I can help you curate either ceremony, making sure it fits your needs and is highly personal to your situation. I can advise and guide on the structure or flow of the ceremony and its contents.

Weddings
A wedding ceremony that is all about you two.

I will work with you to carefully craft a bespoke wedding ceremony that reflects your love for one another; that blends humour, love and joy to make you and your guests laugh, cry and cheer with joy. A wedding ceremony that is unique and special, a one-off, the ceremony of your dreams.
As an independent celebrant, I can tailor your ceremony to suit your specific needs, wants, beliefs, culture or faith or a blend of everything.
And, most importantly, I will also legally marry you (in Scotland).
I offer a complimentary, no-obligation introductory meeting (by phone, video call or in person) so you can discover if I will be the perfect celebrant for you. I really hope so as I LOVE weddings!
Once you have decided to go ahead, I will take a deposit and give you schedule of how and when we'll work together. This will include meetings so I can get to know you both and your love story. We'll talk about what will make a perfect wedding ceremony for you and I'll take you through the mandatory elements so we make sure it's all legal. You will receive advice and guidance from me and I can help with ideas for readings, vow writing (if you'd like to write your own) and additional elements to your ceremony (e.g. tying the knot, quaich or sand ceremonies, candle lighting).
You'll get draft scripts along the way for you to approve. I can attend a rehearsal (if required and within reason). And then it's your big day!
I understand the importance of this day to you both and it's my aim to help make the ceremony side of things easy for you, for you to get what you want and bring that extra magic to your special occasion so that the memory lasts a lifetime for the right reasons.
